Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were perfectly sized for our family of four but could have been a little cooler. Unfortunately, I was given a western room in the annex block, which was small, cramped, and old-looking. On the bright side, the service was great with friendly staff providing a good vibe throughout my stay. The location was excellent, near the castle, and surrounded by great restaurants and cafes. The dining experience was enjoyable, offering a variety of Japanese and Western options. However, the facilities were a bit lacking, with some rooms feeling a little spartan. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.
The hotel offers very spacious and comfortable rooms although they could benefit from more maintenance and repainting. The service was friendly and attentive but lacked the flexibility to accommodate special requests easily. The location is excellent, close to Matsumoto Castle and a variety of dining options. The dining experience was good but crowded during peak hours. The facilities are satisfactory with a nice onsen and helpful staff.
Staying at this hotel was a mix of great experiences and a few downsides. The rooms were huge and comfortable, but there was a lingering smell of cigarette smoke. The service was excellent, with staff going out of their way to help us and making us feel welcome. The location was ideal for exploring the city, although a bit far from the station. The dining options were refined but lacked variety. Overall, a comfortable stay with some room for improvement.
Staying in the annexe room was a delight with a private balcony offering stunning mountain views and a charming European touch with lots of wood. The room was clean, and the bed was super comfortable, providing a cozy stay. However, the price could be considered a bit high for the value offered.
The hotel is not perfect but exceeded my expectations. The rooms were a bit tired but still comfortable and spacious, a refreshing change from the tiny rooms we had in Tokyo. The service was friendly, although there were some minor mishaps with the room key. The location was fantastic, close to all the key attractions in Matsumoto. The dining experience was pleasant with a nice Japanese buffet, but the coffee was just so-so. Overall, a great value for money stay with a few minor hiccups.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room, especially the spacious and comfortable bathroom with beautiful tatami mats, was a highlight. The service provided by the friendly and helpful staff, particularly Alexander, was commendable. The hotel's proximity to Matsumoto Castle was excellent, but the dining experience left something to be desired.
